I got curious of what homemade sauces we could start making to complement meals. One sauce or condiment that we use on almost every meat we make is Worcestershire Sauce. I looked around and landed on this recipe to try at recipeshots.com
It’s bold and full of flavors. Admittedly, I didn’t measure the seasonings and added each one individually and tried the sauce as I incorporated the seasonings. I also added a couple of dashes of fish sauce. I didn’t strain the seasonings out of the sauce before putting it into a container.
Initially the sauce was a bit on the sour side and the vinegar was very strong. We let it sit in the refrigerator and it has gotten better over time. Leaving the seasonings in the sauce enhances the flavor profiles of the other seasonings we have used on different meats.
We’re looking at creating our own take on Worcestershire Sauce and will share a recipe once we’ve got one done that we think is worth your time to try. While that’s happening, I recommend trying the recipe we found and see what you think about making your own sauce.
Happy Cooking,
Kortney
