One of my favorite dishes is a Navajo Taco. This was a treat for me when I was a child. Start with Indian Fry Bread and top with your favorite toppings.
I could not remember how to make Indian Fry Bread so off to google I went and came across Navajo Grandma’s videos on YouTube. You can find her channel here: Navajo Grandma
Her recipe and steps were easy to follow and I was able to nail it the first go round.
One of the beautiful things about Indian Fry Bread is the versatility. It can be topped with all the fixings of beans, meat, lettuce, etc. It can be a dessert topped with honey and powdered sugar. Regardless of what you put on it, it’s easy and delicious.
This Navajo taco is topped with refried beans, our pico pork, fresh pico de gallo, avocado lime crema, and queso fresco.
